Tartan began its hospitlaity journey in 2007 with their burger chain Meatheads, eventually expanding it to 17 units before selling. Tartan Hospitality then expanded into the hotel sector, and achieved success in developing and managing a 114-key hotel consistently recognized among the top 10 in Hyatt Hotels' global select service brands by customer ratings. Most Recently, Tartan Hospitality has taken on the role of franchise operator for the Original Pancake House, overseeing 2 units—one in Peoria, IL and another in Normal, IL.
